What paint do I use for a large 11' x 9' mural?

Hi, I'm going to paint a large mural that is 11'x 9'. That is a lot of paint and I'm wondering if I should use latex interior house paint. Is that a good cost effective way to paint a large mural? If so, how do I go about finding the correct base colors to use such as primary red, yellow, and blue to mix from? Usually, house paint is not sold in colors like I'm used to (acrylics). Any suggestions would be gravy. I've never painted like this before. Thanks, James
