Subject: light stained cabinets yellowed with age

Help! I'm trying to fix a 30 yr od house after mold problem. the original cabinets and paneling were just sealed or the very lightest stain then used. Now they are definetly yellow. I'm not finding a vinly flooring to go with them and some of the paneling is damaged from water and has to be replaced. Some was removed totaly in the remediation. Money is short (as always)as I am executor of the estate and have only the insurance claim money to work with. What can be done to the cabinets to tke out yellow? they are a very hard wood(maybe maple) but have a decrotive frame on them so sanding won't be easy.
Is my only option to paint?
