Subject: Need help with a scheme
Message:
Needing help with a faux old world wall finish formula for a home with 10' ceilings, a 2' decorative hunter green wall paper border surrounds the upper perimater with a white picture moulding seperating it from the lower wall, was thinking on antiquing that along with the extra tall base moulding.the cabinets in the room are a tall with vertical tougne and groove faced doors and draws finished in cherry wood. the floors are done in an extra lardge earth-tone ceramic tile, the walls to have the old world faux finish on are allready base coated in a dingy looking yellowish tan, some what like a white mixed with yellow ochre and a bit of raw seinna and a dash of burnt umber in it. the final old-world look needs some distressing in it here and their (speratic like) when completed , kind of a chalky oxidized look some what like old italion walls. I have a couple ideas for this project but some new inspiration would be very much appreciated. becouse the scheme and style of the whole house realy looks more old english to me so it is hard to vishualize a old world distressed italion faux finish added to it. I am realy open to any ideas. thank you so much.
