I have 1950's Early American-style living room pieces. 1 6-7 ft couch/sofa in green-ish tweed; 1 oversized swivel rocker in burnt orange tweed;
both pieces have pleated kick skirts and wing arms with honey-ed bird's eye maple wood spindles.
I have tried to locate other pieces to coordinate with these but have had no luck.
Upholestry is my best option here. Is it appropriate and keeping with the EA-style furnishings to use a stripe fabric? Background is blueberry with jeweled stripes in mulberry, mustard, wheat, hunter green and rose. Room walls are paneled and wall papered in solid browns and golds. Have antique white window treatments.
Thank you for any assistance you might be able to provide. DixLee
